Band Biography: The Throwdowns live in Hawaii. The band has been together for less than a year. Often compared to the Yeah Yeah Yeas, Santogold, The Pretenders, The Clash, but with an electro-club, Hawaiian edge. There is one Canadian girl, two Hawaiian guys and one man from Pennsylvania in the band. January 26, 2010 their album "Don't Slow Down" came out on ADA/Warner. They've shared the stage with The Fray, Matisyahu, Bad Brains, Panic at the Disco, 311, NOFX, the English Beat and many others. Their single "Kihei Town" hit number one on many radio stations. Mission: Take over the world.
